I prefer to read these letters on Fbook rather than Substack, but Meta won't allow this one to be posted there - which is worth noting, all the more so after reading .
Fake Kid Rock subscribed to my Substack and still chose the free tier. MAGA even roleplays being cheap.
Trump was up all night posting nonsense. On his desk is a plan to forcibly seize Iran’s highly enriched uranium. Where is his family, his Cabinet, his VP? More on Substack. Join me: open.substack.com/pub/thefrank...
"Leave Substack! Leave Substack!"
You shouldn't have been on Substack in the first place, NERD! Nobody wants to read your goddamn ESSAY SLOP! Go back to fucking LIVEJOURNAL!
Please consider subscribing to this labeler so you know not to RT or otherwise promote anything that came from Substack.
Ok...so, I am not on substack and I like @profgabriele.com but I think this response to @alexchurchill.bsky.social is unfair.
These platforms are big structures that folks trying to make a living sometimes have to work with; "well you should just go starve for my principles" is not a valid answer.
This!!! Danya is correct in the things AND I will say
I am a former user both of Substack and of generative AI (I thought it would be a fun visual thing to supplement a fiction project) and I have abandoned both.
You can abandon shit after learning it sucks. Take the L and take all the W's after.
Once again, this is why I’m not on Substack.
And this is why I rarely repost anything with a Substack link.
They suck. They suck and they’re replaceable.
Semi-regular reminder that Substack is a nazi bar.
If you need an easy to use, hosted service there’s Ghost, Wordpress, Buttondown, Kit, Beehiiv, Patreon…
I’m seeing some of the arguments in the comments but I feel many of them miss the point here; substack is run by people who openly admit to allowing and enabling harm.
If moral objections are a factor in your platform use, substack should be a nonstarter for damn near everyone. 🤷🏾♂️
I will also say that this actually started in 2021 with a group of trans writers protesting the company's platforming of TERFs and anti-trans hate figures, a history and context the mostly-cis makers of this website eliminated so they could use the "fight against Substack" to boost their brands.
i said this about substack all the way back in 2021 and it's as true now as it was then and has always been and will always fucking be
reminder that at one point Substack was trying to poach me from patreon and when I said I didn't like how they platformed LITERAL NAZIS the best their rep could say was "yeah I hate it too but what are you gonna do"
fuck that shit
Agreed. No matter how great your writing, or how important the subject, I won't read or share Substack-hosted material.
Another day that I’ll offer to help folks move from Substack to Ghost or Buttondown.
Putting content on there is no different than Twitter at this point. leavesubstack.com
Please leave Substack.
Substack is barely less bad than X.
Regular reminder that I won't read, share, or engage with your content if it's hosted on Substack.
This is exactly why I built my publication thedissident.news on ghost instead of substack. Substack monetizes nazis and now human traffickers like Andrew Tate.
Once again, I am holding a FREE event to help publishers leave Substack this Thursday.

Lex guided me through my migration, assuaged all fears, listened, suggested, helped!
simply saying "I'm not on substack" MORE than makes up for what it costs to abandon substack's free hosting.
Oh shit. Substack are the Kik guys? Holy shit. We're talking Roblox level predatory shit on that app. Oh my goodness that's nutso. They're bad people fr
I left over two years ago when @marisakabas.bsky.social organized Substackers Against Nazis.
It’s great that Lex is problem solving paid sub migration, which is something I had trouble with. I def lost income when I quit.
If you’re on Substack, I hope you check this out:
