A group of SnoCo DSA members and community members stand together with fists raised in solidarity. Four are holding wreathes with the names of IWW members killed in the Everett Massacre.
Three SnoCo DSA members work on putting together wreathes to commemorate the Everett Massacre.
Four wreathes with red ribbons that represent the IWW workers killed in the Everett Massacre lay around the commemorative plaque in Everett WA.
This is a block of text that reads: On November 5th, 1916, twelve workers from the IWW – Industrial Workers of the World – were killed by local anti-union law enforcement in the midst of a crackdown on free speech and labor rights. The parallels between past acts of state-sanctioned violence against unions and ICE targeting farm workers, firefighters, and labor leaders today is not lost on us. We must remember the past so that we can fight for a better future.
Last night on the anniversary of the Everett Massacre, SnoCo DSA and the community came together to pay respects and remember the people who were killed.
