UK launched passport photo checker it knew would fail with dark skin Documents released by the Home Office show it was aware of problems with its website’s passport photo checking service for people with very dark or very light skin, but decided to use it regardless

The commonalities are:

1️⃣ the people incorrectly selected are the same as those for whom facial recognition doesn’t work
2️⃣ This is intentionally done ie #ExclusionByDesign
