I've been receiving "service outage or interruption" notices via email from my #ISP #Exetel; at an increasing rate. Things I'm aware of: Optical Fibre To The Premises is being rolled out nationwide, so I think the link will shortly be changed from #HFC TO #FTTP with an upgrade to 1 Gbps. #nbn
My #ISP #Exetel (Oz) recently bumped my #hfc #NBN connection up to 500mbps, gratis. Yesterday they offered me 5G connection at $30 pm...up from my heavily restricted 4G that was $23 pm - done!
Also, they offered me a package for my #NBN connection that cut $7/mth... one laisse for the other with an
#Exetel I've been with them for exactly 18 years today.
When I started, I had a 25/5 Mbps ADSL and 500Gb for $34.95 (I think...it was cheap then and you wouldn't get through that much data unless you were serving a pirate library) and my mobile which was $25/mth for unlimited txts, $50 call value

It took less than 5 seconds to download a favourite tv series from the States #HaveIGotNewsForYou with #RoyWoodJr hosting.
I wonder how long an entire #BD format #HDR film at 2 hours some minutes run time would take?
Thanks for the heads up #exetel regarding outage for planned maintenance, I won't throw a hissy fit, question the nature of existence or wether there's a meaning to life.... I'll know that my line is down...I keep telling my friends they're the best band for buck #ISP in Oz

First #cybersecurity FAIL was sending passwords in cleartext over email
Second FAIL is forcing customers to deduct password length or use simple characters to crack
