The FAA slowed flights in and out of Newark (EWR) due to a telecommunications issue at the Philly TRACON #facility, which guides aircraft in and out of Newark's airspace.

Additionally, a ground stop was issued for flights bound for Atlanta (ATL) due to a separate runway equipment issue.
