Human to judge generated similarity. 900 judgements by 15 NLA staff. Head to head comparison. Individually, CLIP highest score. Combination of model considered best 66% of the time against other variants. Open source models getting better.

Clustering. Used hdbscan. A representative image generated per cluster. Resulting in a static set of groupings. Cluster display allows user to get a sense of collection.

5000 out of catalogue images. Metadata extracted from catalogue. Title, URL of image, and prompt passed on to vision model endpoint. Model generates description. Passed to another embeddings endpoint.

Vision model trained in very large datasets image-text pairs. Learns to recognise patterns, objects and features. Can make inferences.
