As with the rest of the main cast, his story has been greatly expanded and largely finalised since this time last year. He grows through the quietest changes, but they are profound for him none the less.

Honestly, not much to say about him. With all the general fleshing out of FLORA I did in the past year, he's gained a more personal role in relation to some main characters, and I hope I can execute this piece of shit well someday!

A bird's eye view of the inside of a tent, where a young woman and man are lying down, each inside their own sleeping bags. The woman on the left, named Salvia Takehara, a black woman wearing fairly long straight black hair with the tips dyed blue, is pretty soundly asleep, quite snug in her bag. The man next to her, however, is still quite firmly awake. Gladiolus Hoshinori, a much taller, more built black man sporting light lavender hair with the tips dyed a more vibrant purple, has his arm out of his sleeping bag, holding onto a slightly cracked "ice cube" at the end of the necklace he's wearing. The painting depicts him clearly having spent quite a long time reminiscing solemnly of days long past, with wide-open eyes staring into the cube. It appears to also be inexplicably glowing, giving the only source of truly bright illumination in the painting to not much more than Gladiolus's face. The rest of the painting is only really illuminated by the faint blue-purple glow of the night sky. The only other things littering the wrinkled fabric "floor" of the tent (so to speak) are a metal box of first aid equipment and Gladiolus's boot.

The same dark green jeans, the same dark green steel-toed boots, the same dark green cropped jacket, though now open at the front, and the same light green sweater, the sleeves now rolled up to the elbow. He now sports dark green gloves and a pale orange shawl. His headphones have been combined with a pair of high-tech goggles that now rest atop his head. Attached to his belt are his knife and his speaker, the belt buckle has been redesigned to mimic Rhode's gear-shaped belt buckle. His hair is slightly shorter and his demeanour and expression are more confident than ever. Dahlia is now sporting longer hair in a wolf cut. She still wears the same orange jacket, all the tears and holes now stitched up. Over it she has a steel breastplate with matching shoulder-pads and orange trims. Her spats are replaced with rolled-up jean shorts, sporting a Rhode-styled belt buckle of her own. She now wears steel elbow-pads and knee-pads. Her boots and weapons are unchanged, though her left hand is no cybernetic. Peony's new design removed their jacket with their pink shirt sleeves rolled up, to reveal their robotic arms. They are now equipped with a pair of pistols, with two holsters now affixed to their belt. Aside from that their outfit remains the same. Ivy is now sporting a dark green tube top underneath a green taekwondo dobok but worn completely open, revealing her now more muscular physique. Her hair is cut slightly shorter. Her prosthetic legs have now been upgraded to be more combat effective, sporting bulkier plating, cyan glowing lights and a new pale lime colour palette.

A bust shot of Rhododendron Asimov, one of the main characters of FLORA, a project of my friend @coreeno.bsky.social. He's a young white man with brown eyes and fairly long purple hair (that is, just touching his shoulders). He's got goggles with dark lenses propped up above his eyes, along with wearing a red sleeveless shirt. He's currently sporting two cuts, one on his cheek and another just below his shoulder. His skin is generally a bit peppered with minor marks of some sort of dirt or soot. A light with an orangey hue is illuminating quite a stern look on his face, with slightly furrowed eyebrows, a barely open mouth, and eyes wide open pointed up at the light's general direction. The background consists of textured splotches vaguely resembling some sort of smokey fire, covering a dark, almost-pitch-black, purple landscape only really populated by a dead, leafless tree.
figuring out how to streamline and speed up my drawing process and make it more fun again (an important part there being "fuck making a whole new lineart layer")
with that in mind and also new brush exploration, i fulfilled an urge to make a friend's oc being pissed & pretty
