The blame can be dispensed in different directions. The club’s board for failing to back Marco Silva sufficiently in successive transfer windows. Silva himself for not signing a contract – or being out-thought by David Moyes (again) and failing to make the changes that were need to quell Everton’s first half momentum. You could criticise Timothy Castagne for allowing Vitalii Mykolenko to skin him, Bernd Leno for an utterly abject punch and I’ve seen Joachim Andersen and Jorge Cuenca get pelters on the socials.

Moyes masterminds Everton fightback | HammyEnd.com David Moyes might have been serving a touchline ban at Craven Cottage this afternoon, but the wily Scotsman still managed to mastermind a magnificent turnaround as Everton shrugged off a fitful first half to come from behind and secure a first league double over Fulham in twelve years. The Toffees could have been dead and buried after the fit-again Vitalii Mykolenko managed to beat his own goalkeeper after Jordan Pickford had kept out a shot from Raul Jimenez, but Marco Silva’s side failed to take a succession of chances. Moyes made several tactical tweaks and Everton dominated after the interval, eventually equalising through Kieran Dewsbury-Hall before Bernd Leno punched the ex-Chelsea midfielder’s corner into his own net under pressure from Jake O’Brien.
