While New York hospitals rake in profits, working families struggle to afford routine medical services. Our representatives need to hear from YOU! Tell them: New Yorkers deserve affordable healthcare. 🏥 #FairPricingAct
“..if the FPA had been the law in NY, the Brown University study found that health care costs would have been more than $1 billion lower in 2022, & patents would have enjoyed a savings of more than $213 million in out-of-pocket expenses.” #FairPricingAct www.nydailynews.com/2025/05/03/h...
Yesterday, the @council.nyc.gov passed a resolution calling on the state legislature to pass the #FairPricingAct.
It’s time for Albany to make #SameServiceSameFairPrice the law in New York because routine healthcare shouldn’t be more expensive just because a hospital owns the building.
🏥 @nypirg.bsky.social and our coalition partners turned out in full force at City Hall in Manhattan to advocate for the #FairPricingAct because we know that it's past time to lower hospital prices in New York. Affordable healthcare is a fundamental right for EVERY New Yorker!
📢 Join us on Thursday, May 1 at 9:15 AM in front of City Hall in Manhattan where we'll call on the New York City Council to pass a resolution in support of the #FairPricingAct! 🏥
