今朝の野鳥@石神井公園 カルガモ、キンクロハジロ、オオバン、アオサギ、ゴイサギ、カワウ、オカヨシガモ、ヨシガモ（今季初認）、オナガガモ、ハシビロガモ、ヒヨドリ、メジロ、キジバト、シジュウカラ、ソウシチョウ、ウグイス、ブト、ツグミ（今季初認）、オナガ、オオタカ、エナガ、モズ、ボソ、コゲラ。ようやくツグミを初認。声もあちこちで聞かれた。去年は撮りそこねたヨシガモも今季初登場。いつまで居てくれるか？オオタカははるか上空。モズも久しぶり。

Male and Female Falcated Duck. Males are distinctive, with an iridescent head that flashes green and copper, a silvery body with distinct scalloping, extremely long curved tertials, long pale scapulars, and a triangular white throat patch outlined in dark green. Brownish females resemble female Gadwall but have a dark bill.

Male head is linked to bicorne in Japan.
This duck is a bit rare in East Asia.

Reading the @britishbirds Falcated Duck article and am very surprised to hear that the 2 females present at Parkgate Marsh, Cheshire between March 16-30 1998 have not been considered for inclusion in Cat A and not even mentioned within the article, bizarre! @BOU #FalcatedDuck
