Wearing ease is the minimum ease that patternmakers add so people can move around in their clothes. Design ease is added just for looks! For example, in Helen's #FalconerPants, there is minimum wearing ease from the waist to the hips - then design ease added to the legs to create the barrel shape! ⁠
