Another horrid fallen london photo collage. Mr Cards, represented by a pallid bat head collaged onto a hunched brown robe, is fallen over, clutching its photo collaged wings to its head and screaming. A scattering of cards lie on the ground before it, including a Balatro jester, Exodia, and a Sliver Queen.

All text is cut and pasted from Fallen London or dictionary.com.

"A Heart-Wrenching Tragedy. Something colorful! Flowers? Don't be ridiculous. Playing cards, scattered in the gutter. Innocence savaged by uncaring destiny. The pain is a chorus, its every wound an echo. There is no salve for this, no physician who can make it right."

"Your attraction to this card marks you out as Mr Cards."

"You fall to the ground in pain; every stranger on the street looks at you with a puzzled look."

The words "Faded grandeur" are pointing to the discarded cards.

Mr Cards is shouting in the Correspondence, represented by a screencap of dictionary.com's definition for agony with the sigil for 'pain experienced at the apogee' in the place of the pronunciation button.

Mr Cards Nightmares has increased to 6 - deranged!

Another horrifying fallen london collage. A revolutionary, represented by a character from Les Miserables with dynamite collaged into his pocket, is accosting Mr Cards, a pallid bat photobash in a robe. The revolutionary has an arm poorly bashed onto him that is holding a Fallen London opportunity card. All text is photocut from Fallen London's website or wiki.

Revolutionary: "The corrupt Masters of the Bazaar have held the government of London captive for too long. Betray the Masters of the Bazaar? Plotting against the Masters?"

Mr Cards: "Do you know, I am of course, 'Mr Cards', Master of the Bazaar?"

Revolutionary: "The best way to destroy the state is the one it could never expect."

Mr Cards: "I'm afraid I can't help you."

Revolutionary: "Whose side are you really on?"

Mr Cards: "... a Master?"

A helpful note indicates the opportunity card appears with Standard frequency. This will not be the last time Mr Cards is asked to blow itself up.

I love #fallenlondon. I was defending an upside down hanging city while it was under siege by creatures that can remove things from reality. Anyways, I need an item that I can get from a band of Scottish highwayman who are spotted along the train line from London to Hell.

#FallenLondon. Every Good Boy Deserves Fun. An excellent wee tale that I quite enjoyed. The Captivating Princess really is one of Fallen London's greatest monsters. Cheers, @failbettergames.com

"... are you keeping lizards in mirrorcatch boxes, M'lord Ambrose?"

"I am indeed. I've defended so many society matrons from gondoliers this week, I'm drowning in the damn things. Feel free to take some of them with you. NOT THAT ONE MAN! That's the one with my sandwiches in."

A pixel art illustration of my Fallen London character, Samuel, walking into the dark waters of the zee as it laps and splashes over his head, with the false-stars glittering on the roof above. Underwater, bubbles flow from his mouth and trail behind his body. He is smiling, just a little bit. Text above the waves reads "til death do us embrace."

A two-hour-old inbox message from Fallen London signaling the arrival of Time, the Healer (weekly reset), notably in a format of a bulletpoint list instead of a single paragraph for all the character updates.

Full text below:

Memory fades; pain departs; rewards arrive! You may have a Professional Payment waiting at your Lodgings; wounds and other hazards have faded, as has your reputation in the public eye. You may also have received Fleeting Recollections, which will allow you to remove Irrigo, if you have any.

Favourable Circumstance has not changed from 1 because it's higher than 0.

Another horrid Fallen London photo collage. Mr Cards is depicted by a pallid bat head cut and pasted onto a brown cloak. A bat wing is holding a fan of advertisement cards. It is sneaking into a church lit green by foxfire candles. Mr Cards looks very pleased with itself. Behind, the Bishop of St Fiacre stands, with an insect larva head, staring at the candles. All text is cut and pasted from Fallen London.

"They call me 'Mr Cards,' of course because I creep into church and leave trade cards in the hymn books where you are not strictly supposed to to get Proscribed Material (4,643) so that I can pay Homage to the paper-man and Connected: The Masters of the Bazaar is Increasing..."

Next to the bishop, cut and paste text reads "He seems rather distracted by its delicious greenish glow"

There are text cutouts reading "excess cards" and "Mr Cards" with helpful red arrows pointing to their respective signifieds, but a third cut-out next to them reads "indistinguishable"

Another horrid Fallen London collage. The banded sleuth, represented as a gray-scale tiger with a trenchcoat and trilby cut and pasted on themself; the honey-addled detective, represented by Benedict Cumberbatch in a poorly-pasted deerstalker hat, holding a glass of sherry and with a bear-shaped bottle of honey in his coat; Mr Cards, a pallid bat head pasted onto a cloak, with two bat wing-hands holding a fan of cards.

All text is cut and pasted from Fallen London, and is sort of just pasted all over.

"The Banded Sleuth, a tiger, sitting on the floor and still looming over the rest of you."
"The Honey-Addled Detective, glumly swirling a glass of sherry."
"How do you know these people, exactly?" with "Searing Enigma" next to it and a red arrow pointing at the phrase.
"wretched memory?" "lost mind?" the Irrigo symbol. The Bottle of Black Wings Absinthe inventory pop-up. The symbol for the city of Irem. Question marks fill the screen.

Mr Cards looks surprised and distressed.

Another horrid Fallen London collage. Mr Cards is exchanging poorly photocollaged Partial Maps for a Searing Enigma. The Salty Fabulist says "... everything I've ever told you was a lie. Except this. Mr Spices, Mr Iron, the rest, aren't the Masters of the Bazaar. They're its pets."

Mr Cards' brow is furrowed in thought. It is imagining a scene in the High Wilderness where it is flying through space. It is wearing a collar, whose retractable leash is held in the claws of a space crab who has the Tower of Pisa, the Seattle Space Needle, and the Fire Island Lighthouse on its back. Two pigs with rocket exhausts are providing its movement.

Mr Cards is wistful but incredulous about the idea.

A poorly made collage of Fallen London. The Bishop of Southwark is depicted as Sandow the Strongman with a bishop's mitre on his head. Mr Cards is a cloak with a pallid bat face shopped onto it. There is a rubbery hound represented by a dog with an octopus pasted onto its head. A very large vampire bat looms at the edge. All dialogue is clipped from Fallen London or wiktionary.

Bishop of Southwark: "I've got a wings-of-thunder bat from the Elder Continent. I have high hopes of breeding it to good purpose. I want you to find me a breedable creature. Breed the Rubbery Hound."

Mr Cards: (Thinking): 'Mr Hearts wishes to comment on your results. "My brethren and I have enjoyed your creatures greatly."

Mr Cards: (Speaking) kinkshame Verb 2.(transitive) To mock, shame, or condemn (a sexual preference or fetish).

The words "breedable creature" circle Mr Cards face. It looks especially distressed.

The mouse cursor hovers contemplatively over the Perhaps Not button.

A terrible photocollage. Mr Cards, represented by a bat head poorly shopped onto a cloak, stands aboard a poorly cut-out boat staring at Wolfstack Docks, edited to be frowning, distressed. A toy dragon is edited into the skyline, breathing fire. Fallen London game text is cut and pasted into the scene: "Your Nightmares have risen too high! A distant shadow shrieks like thunder. You stand alone, lit red by its fires. Destination: London Deep Dark, is aflame. Disembark PERHAPS NOT. A Nightmares increase has been aggravated by an item you're wearing. It cannot withstand this for long." The word "It" is circled and pointed at Mr Cards itself.
