Reliquary Reliquary Blade of St Idlemine of Lionheart In the River Realms, it is common for The Knights of the Bridge to wield great two handed blades such as this reliquary blade. This particular blade, belonging to Lady Ilvine Imnius, a Knight and Sister Votary of the Order of the Bridge and descendant of the Melusind Knight Imnion. Her massive sword in its hilt, is also a reliquary of the remains of St Idlemine of Lionheart. The relic is one of the Saint’s forearm bones - it was lost by the Saint during her famous battle with a great monster that had terrorised the region of Lionheart but recovered by a devout Lirran after the battle. The Knight, Lady Ilvine, strives always to protect the defenceless just as her patron saint was known to do, and has found her calling as a Knight of the Bridge City, protecting its people from the myriad of strange and dangerous creatures and spectres that spew forth from the ancient depths of the abandoned sections of the Greatcity.

Feline Sword of a Minor Prince of House Llameryn-Leolinius By the time of his ascension to the Throne of Midnight, the House of the Archking, Lothair II, encompassed a staggering number of members. The vast majority of them, by this time, were only distantly related to the Archking’s immediate family. These minor members of the Archroyal House, despite their nominal status as Princes and Princesses of Midnight, were forced to compete with not only the other Royal and Noble Houses of the River Realms for important positions at Court, but, especially during the reign of Lothair II, with skilled commonfolk. This sword, featuring the Eye of Lir and Lion - the sigil of House Leolinius - belonged to a distant cousin of the Archking. It is crafted not from Brightbrass, but from common steel as the minor Prince it belonged to had no hope of accessing the dwindling stocks of Brightbrass belonging to the Archcrown.

Scale Ritual Blade of Xenaxenes, Bull Lord of Northern Ipeiros While the Orks of Prasinos are known for the love of architecture, democracy* and art, the Orks of Ipeiros are known for their love of combat and conquest. Young Ipeiran Orks who vie to become the Bull Lord of their tribe must undertake a ritual test and rite of passage: the contender heads out onto the grassy plains alone and unarmed and must fight and kill the largest Anooros (a powerful, large and territorial creature covered in sharp scales, though it is herbivorous it is one of the most dangerous creatures of the Ipeiran Plains) they can. Once slain, the young warrior must drag the creature’s corpse all the way back to their tribe where its sharp scales are used to create the “blade” of a sword. Wealthier tribes (like that of Xenaxenes) often employ materials like the red Orkish marble for the hilt of these blades, while smaller and less prosperous tribes employ materials like brass and wood for these blades. *The democracy of the Prasinian Orks is a democracy only in name, it long ago devolved into a plutocracy and its economy is supported by rampant slavery - slaves often supplied by the military conquests of the Ipeiran Orks.

Automaton Blade (and Forearm) of the Ceremonial Automated Guard of Komonech The ancient automatons of the United Holds of Minervel are so ancient as to be almost useless though they remain at the cyclopean gates that mark the entrance to the realm of the Mountain Folk. The automatons are so old in fact, that the symbols that decorate their ceramic armour reference not only the Mountain King (the patron deity of the United Holds of Minervel *and* the Kingdom of Nevarr) but also the Sky Queen, a Goddess whose worship is all but forbidden amongst the people of the Mountains and is now only worshipped outside of the Mountain Kingdoms by the Hill Folk and the Bellardi Plainsgnomes.

3. Automaton: A gold and ceramic robotic hand holds a gold and steel sword. the ceramic is decorated with red geometric designs. the sword blade also has small tiles of the ceramic that decorate its hilt and blade. red garnets or rubies also embellish the crossguard and pommel of the sowrd. the robotic hand is connected to the sword with what appears to be a telescopic/hydrolic contraption to allow for the blade to change angle in relation to the arm.

Shell Blade of the House of Nestrys Narhalwysel The Royal House Nestrys-Narhawysel of the Gates. A Coastal and Island Kingdom of the River Realms that has been closely aligned and intertwined with the Archroyals of the River Realms since the marriage of Princess Ophelia Nestrys-Narhawysel to the first Archking, Lothair the Melusind. The blade was in fact forged *for* the Princess Ophelia when she was given the position of Gatekeeper (the River Realms equivalent of a Fleet Admiral) of the fleets of the Gates. The inscription on the blade is of the motto of House Nestrys-Narhawysel styled in ancient Yarerin Elvish and reads: “ren velharim, naha yr mor”. It is translated as “Across the Sea to Victory”. The blade itself is made of Brightbrass, an ancient alloy of brass - the manufacture of which has been lost since the Disruption…

The same sword as in the previous image but just the hilt and upper blade. The hilt is decorated with mother of pearl and pearls and florets carved into the green metal that the sword is made of. the pommel is a pinkish purple shell. The crossgaurd is decorated at the tips with purple coral. the upper blade is decorated with oceanic themes and representations of sea grass/algae and another inlaid mother of pearl. Juuuuuuust visible at the top of the fuller is an engraving in a fantastical script.
