It can’t be seen as right or fair that farmers often receive 1p profit from the food items they produce, whilst at the same time supermarkets have pursued excessive profits. They’ve forced the value of farming produce down, and misled customers with #farmwashing

Yes, I'm a Riverford customer, and he's written about it a number of times. Supermarkets are a necessary evil, with a little too much emphasis on the evil. The #farmwashing issue is definitely one that people should be protesting.

IMHO it's the #supermarkets we should be haranguing - squeezing farm gate prices, #farmwashing, selling non UK produce when we could grow it in UK & all while making huge profits.
Farmers need help. But from #farmwashing & supermarkets making huge profits while squeezing payments to farmers - the #IHT hue & cry is disingenuous. Dyson & Clarkson have voices & RW media support.

Ever heard of #farmwashing? Absolutely incensed me and while I buy based on on where something is produced, that is not the point. I hate lies (and injustice) and this is consumers being lied to. Already used their email template to contact my MP. Please consider doing the same. 🤬
