An illumination from a manuscript page of Renaissance music. Within an initial letter S, about a dozen haloed people in the clothing of Jesus' time stand under a dove enclosed in a golden aura, surrounded by blue sky. Rays emerge from the dove, creating a tongue of fire above each human figure. Most of the discernable figures are men (with beards), but at the very center stands a woman in a red gown and blue robe, with her palms held together in front of her chest.
