Quotation Unprocessed guilt may be a partial cause for the explosion of slavery in recent decades. Sexualized slavery is open to the point of being normalized, with billionaire companies openly profiting from it. This is more obviously a result of the decline in slavery disguised as marriage, but the role of unprocessed guilt should not be overlooked. The widespread sexualized violation of children, particularly in places like Russia, the UK, US and Japan, may be partly a result of unprocessed national guilt or an unrehabilitated appetite for secondary anima. The fact that efforts to protect children are the most derided and violently opposed human rights efforts indicates that this torture of the negative image is serving some national function.
