A model of a Panzer IV bravely navigating my tray and crossing the cable snippers I use while aiming its turret backwards. The tracks are on, most of it is painted, there are machine guns attached, it looks like a mostly complete tank.
Got the tracks on (knock on wood), attached the MGs. There's the schürzen and some hull details left, and also fiddly work like markings to do. But it feels doable.
I also wanna try and drill the cannon barrel.

Panzer IV on the lid I use to paint on, with paints and stuff too. It's kind of just a mess?
Spent the day with family, came home and thought I'd just paint the tracks, then all of a sudden the tank had a slightly darker shade (but the tracks ain't done).
Starting to feel pressed for time, but it's detail work and schürzen soon, right?

Painting tray with a Panzer IV model in body, two tracks and turret, in a sort of sand and brown camo?
Built the tracks minus the outer wheels and also added a layer of Morghast Bone over the body and turret. Not ENTIRELY sold on it, might try and add a watered down gray over it later. But the tank is progressing .

Between changing diapers and some last minute wrapping I’ve completed assembly on the Panzer IV for #FestiveTankChallenge2024. Just need to magnetize the turret, clean some mould lines and (maybe) add some stowage. Then it’s off to the priming table.

The mess that is my coffee table right now. On a tray are brushes, a jar of water and a sprue from the model kit I'm working on. Next to it is a box with another sprue on it, inside of which are more sprues, and then there's assorted bric-a-brac on the table
It's 23:34 and I'm trying to prime pieces with a brush and watch the 2016 Hitsmas.

Well, undercoating the Bergepanzer iv was fine. However the Brummbar running gear and starting to use photoetch for almost the first time in 1 72 scale may not be one of my better ideas. Hopefully it'll dry OK overnight! #FestiveTankChallenge #FestiveTankChallenge2024.

Added a 1:56 (28mm) Panzer IV L/48 metal gun barrel and muzzle brake. Makes such a difference!
