It is once again Fig Newton Day! It comes around faster every year!

Until the 19th C, many illnesses were blamed on poor digestion; biscuits & fruit were recommended by physicians, and fig rolls were seen as a good way to do this.

I forgot to bake for #figrollday / #fignewtonday. I was going to buy some and then thought they looked too much like those dog biscuits from the 1980s.
