SEND reform must protect children’s rights, retains EHCPs, and strengthen legal protections for all ages. #SEND #FightForOrdinary
We can get better outcomes for children and spend less on SEND.

Children with speech and language challenges, and their families, shouldn't have to fight for the ordinary things.
Let's press SEND on a future where every voice is heard. https://bit.ly/3KJ2CSO

Thank you to everyone who joined the #FightForOrdinary rally last week.
As the Labour Party Conference begins tomorrow, we’re hopeful that the voices of families, young people and professionals will be heard.
Together, we can build a system that works for every child.
Too many families with disabled children are being denied the basic support they need. I stand with them in calling for urgent change.

Quite a week for #SEND. Rally in London #FightforOrdinary, Parliamentary debate #saveourchildrensrights later that day. The Education Select Committee report on Thursday.
I was invited to be on the panel on BBC Politics Midlands to discuss SEND. An opportunity to represent unheard parent carers.
Disabled children and their parents have a right to the same, ordinary, family life other families expect.

Great to meet with campaigners at the #FightForOrdinary rally ahead of the SEND debate later today. Families have waited too long for a system that works, the Government has to get this right.
Alongside Kids colleagues, it was great to see so many people from the SEND community at the #FightforOrdinary rally this morning.
Powerful speeches showed everyone was united in one goal; for every child & young person to have the chance to learn, feel safe & be understood.
Sending heartfelt support out to everyone in London today who’s taking a stand for S.E.N.D. rights. As both someone who was diagnosed Autistic late and who has an undiagnosed nephew, it’s so important the government do more to help support S.E.N.D. young people and their families. #FightForOrdinary
It’s time to fix the SEND system. Because there’s nothing ‘special’ about an education that works for all of us.
Today parents are taking the #FightForOrdinary to Parliament.

Stella Creasy talks sense about SEND children and their families. Parents of disabled young people and those with additional needs just want the ordinary: for their children to learn, and for mums and dads to work. No one should be criticised for that. #FightForOrdinary
