Fight or Die Alas twas not meant to be. Dreams of hope, Dreams of love, Dreams of purpose. Of equality. We sought the light. Like a moth to a flame we came, Believing good always wins. Believing freedom was a right for us all. Believing we could be the light to show the way. Just as it always is and has always been. Little did we know. Just how naieve we were. We were sliding ever faster into the dark. Down a spiral we fall. Deep and deeper we go. Each twist darker than the last A vicious neverending cycle; A battle with peaks and valleys , All in the name of equality. Each dip sinking further into dispair; Each peak a higher hurdle to clear. We have hit the fevered pitch! We've reached the penultimate peak above the darkened valley. Do we stop and cry, broken and beaten? Risking never rising again?
