A five panel mini-comic page. Panel 1: A young woman (Veda) notices something off-screen and has to react fast. Panel 2: She quickly whips her pistol up, while also saying "On your left!" Panel 3: She fires a concussive energy shot at at oncoming enemy who was looking to deliver a surprise attack to her teammate (KC) who quickly turns around as the enemy soldier is struck by the energy bolt. Panel 4: KC turns back towards Veda, still somewhat surprised at that development. DIALOGUE: "...Nice shot. Holy shit." Panel 5: Veda, with a stone-faced expression, gives KC a silent thumbs up in response.

Sometimes it pays to have a highly reflexive gunner on your team.

A pair of siblings sit on the floor of their home. The one on the left, Veda, looks at at her younger sibling, Yaz, as the latter hugs her from behind. There's a look of slight surprise on Veda's face.

Part two of the previous image, now showing Yaz leaning into their hug a little more and grinning happily. Veda is now reaching up to gently grasp their hand, a small smile now also on their face.

Veda might not be the most talkative or the kind to show much emotion, but Yaz is still pretty good at getting their sister to crack a smile every now and then 😊
