It's National First-Generation College Student Day! If you navigated part time jobs, college applications and fees, college stress, maybe even grad school all while having to make up stories that explain what you're doing to family, I see you. I'm proud of you, and I'm happy to talk. #FirstGenDocs

I am celebrating ALL my 2020 goals!
(1) Will start as a Faculty Fellow at @NYUDataScience in the fall

(2) Single-arm overhead pressed 28kg (~62lbs) days after getting the offer
And

(3) Defended my dissertation three weeks ago! 🎉🎉🎉

I have papers due before, on and after Christmas. My professors care not. 😭#FirstGenDocs
