Labour’s cruel treatment of disabled people is so appalling the government whip resigned. My first jobs were in care work, back in the 90s, and I’ve seen how severely impacted many disabled people have been because of cuts like these.

Aye, but the legal requirements are such that councils have become mechanisms for transferring most of their budget to (private sector) social care providers.
Unless we #FixSocialCare (which 1:3 of us will need) then it leaves little for ‘discretionary’ spend, which often makes lives better.

From the NHS to local government, a failure to #FixSocialCare is breaking everything else across public services. We need action.
