#Flashfood is a great way to get eggs if you need them and go through them quickly. They sell containers of 11 or 16, basically once full cartons that had one or two cracked eggs in them. The cracked ones are removed and they sell the rest for close to half price, like these 16cts for $3.19.

There's an app called #Flashfood that is basically like To Good to Go, but for grocery store meat and produce that are likely to end up in that discard buggy. I haven't used it myself, but @daddyroundround.bsky.social does and he recommended it to me.

#Dadtime kitchen time. Littles complain that I order #flashfood too much. Batches of freshly squeezed lemon, lime, orange, and carrot juice later and I don't hear much except for dipping sounds of fresh made toum being assaulted by the hands of pepper sticks and green beans.

Other than the fact that the only #flashfood places in my city are all Loblaws owned stores, usually we get some decent items from but this carrot is questionable... going to see if water will revive it.

Well, I *did* like my local #Loblaws #flashfood app until it started showing full salmons at heavy discount only to be presented with a sliver of fish at pick up. Discount veggies are getting stingy too.

I guess Loblaws would rather throw it away than feed Canadians.
