A tray of containers of seed beads is at the top of the image, with a finished necklace below it. The necklace has a near square flat beaded pendant in the colours of turquoise, yellow, green and red seed beads, with a natural turquoise coloured stone in the centre. The design around the stone is oriented in a diamond on the square base, with alternating stripes of the colours - turquoise on the outer edge, then going inwards with a row of red, then turquoise, green, yellow, turquoise green and yellow around the centre stone. The pendant is attached to a lanyard style beaded rope that is beaded in the same colours. Stripes are alternating colours closest to the pendant, then the majority of the lanyard is turquoise. The lanyard has beads sewn continuously around it along the entire length.

At college, the Indigenous Centre taught flat beading. Loved learning the traditional methods, not perfect but I am proud of it.
