In the background: faded blue ridges under a partly cloudy sky. On the left side: two tall trees and smaller clumps of vegetation fill this section. on the right, the foreground continues with green undergrowth and a fence. Above it rises the famed dome of Florence's cathedral as it sits on its octagonal base and dwarfs all other structures around it. Nearby green hills fill in the space between the far reaches of the city and the distant blue ridges.

One of the stops on our August family trip was #Florence. The sunsets from the #PonteVecchio were superb, the #FlorenceDuomo was impressive, but Michelangelo’s original David at the #Galleriadell'Accademia was sublime. When you walk around it, the size is striking, and the detail of the work is 🤯.
