Two separate ink stains from purple bearded irises. The stains feature splotches of blues, teals, faint purples, and some yellow hues.
I drew on top of the stains with markers and gel crayons. The stain on the left turned into a chaotic, biblical angel-esque, butterfly with eyes on its wings. The stain on the left already looked like a face, so I defined it to look like a nymph holding a purple flower.

They've pressed well, but they're sticking to the card, and if I can get them off, they're ripping :(
I had them in for 3 days.
Should I have left them longer? Do I need to dry them first? Should I use different card?

Two pieces I worked on last night. Part of the effect on these is from having painted the paper weeks ago and not fully protecting the pages from light before using them. Now that I see what that does, I can hopefully recreate the same effect on purpose.
