Flow painting (or fluid art) is deeply rooted in science.

I created this entire video with Grok to demonstrate as closely as possible what the process looks like.

A heat gun or torch can be used to control where cells form. I prefer the heat gun. I feel like it's safer.

I experimented with these flow paintings by pouring a mixture of 1 pt acrylics to 1 pt floetral + a few drops of silicone oil.
Pour it (no brushes), then tilt the canvas, & cells start to form and expand.
It's very messy, and it takes a long time to dry.
Good color combos are key.
