Dates set for soccer season 2026 SOCCER LVSL FOOTBALL Victoria (FV) has confirmed the Latrobe Valley soccer season will begin the weekend of April 12. FV has released its first regional league structures and calendar of the new FV Regional Football Structure. The Latrobe Valley senior men and women competitions will start on the weekend of April 12, while the Latrobe Valley junior and MiniRoos competitions will kick-off on the first weekend in May, following grading rounds. FV confirmed the Latrobe Valley league’s structure of men’s senior, reserves and third division, and a women’s competitions will be maintained. Following the final round on August 23, the cup competitions will be played over four weekends until September 20. Set in stone: The Latrobe Valley Soccer League season will commence April 12. As an aside, the match pictured was one of the more confusing likely ever seen in league history. In the juniors, there will be boys/mixed under 17, 15 (two divisions) and 13 (three divisions), and girls’ under 15 and 13 competitions. MiniRoos will have mixed under 11, nine, seven, and six, and girls’ under 11, nine, seven and six sections. A catch-up round for all senior and junior grades has been scheduled for July 5. The juniors and under 11 MiniRoos also have catch-up rounds the weekends of April 26 and August 23. The regional calendar and league structures followed the announcement of the conclusion and findings of the Football Victoria Regional Football Review, which has led to seven associations, including the Latrobe Valley Soccer League, transitioning their clubs and players under FV. Designed to strengthen support for clubs, streamline administration and build a more connected football ecosystem across Victoria, the new model will see the above competitions now operate directly under the FV banner.
