Through the tireless work of Zero Waste Montenegro with support from #ForktoFarm, decentralised, community-centred pilots have cropped up across MNE. Today, more than 700 households across 4 municipalities practise composting or separate collection, collecting more than 100t of bio-waste per year!

In Montenegro, two years of work on the #ForkToFarm project are coming to an end. What two years they've been! 🍌

In 🇲🇪 , over 90% of municipal waste (40% bio-waste) went to landfill in 2024. The impact of ZWMNE's work to divert and treat organics cannot be overstated.

At WastMAP at Work (Super Pollutants Pavilion) at #COP30 we shared how #ForkToFarm + GMH work with 15 cities across 6 countries to improve waste data. Many gaps remain, but open datasets like Italy 🇮🇹 & Catalonia 🇪🇸 show what’s possible. Global KPI framework coming soon! 🌍♻️
