Sadly his brother, Cpl 208569 Alfred Ernest Euden, Inland Waterways and Docks HQ, Royal Engineers, died of influenza in the Shirley Warren Auxiliary Hospital Southampton 6 Jan 1919
They are buried together with a rather unusual dual headstone in Ramsgate Cemetery.

He was son of John Young Byers & Anna Kate Byers, of 22nd Floor, 195 Broadway, New York, possibly the location of the British Consulate in NYC.
