Step 1: Plug in a compatible USB mic, such as the Samson Q2U, directly in one of the PS5’s USB inputs.
Step 2: Go to your PS5’s System Settings > Sound > Microphone, and make sure the “Input Device” is set to the USB Mic.
Step 2.5: Some mics will be detected as Headsets, meaning it’ll automatically switch the audio output to them. Go to Audio Output, and make sure the “Output Device” is your TV.
Step 3: Boot up Fortnite, go to the game’s Settings, then Game, and then Festival. Scroll down to Mic Vocals Input Device. By default, the device is set to “AudioIn Library” (the mic set in the console’s settings). If not, set it to that.
Fun fact: You CAN, in fact, use a USB mic for Pro Vocals on #FortniteFestival on PS5! (Directions in ALT Text)
