The Star Event Centre lives on – as the Sydney Event Centre
As previously reported the cash strapped Sydney Star has sold The Star Event Centre to Foundation Theatres, owners of the Sydney Lyric and Foundry Theatre, also at The Star. Foundation Theatres, who took over the venue at the beginning of this month had previously indicated that they planned to convert the space into another lyric theatre. However, General Manager of Foundation Theatres, Graeme Kearns told ASE that the venue will continue in its present form for some time, at least for another 12 months, and that plans for redevelopment are still some way off.
