France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.27%
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.27%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.09% or 1.98 points to trade at 66.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) added 2.39% or 1.26 points to end at 54.08 and Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) was up 2.35% or 0.37 points to 15.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY), which fell 8.31% or 7.16 points to trade at 78.96 at the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) declined 4.17% or 21.70 points to end at 499.10 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) was down 2.74% or 2.72 points to 96.54.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which rose 5.47% to 39.65, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was up 4.99% to settle at 1.45 and Viridien SA (EPA:VIRI) which gained 3.14% to close at 62.40.
The worst performers were Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which was down 9.30% to 5.95 in late trade, Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) which lost 8.31% to settle at 78.96 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) which was down 4.17% to 499.10 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 242 to 227 and 100 ended unchanged.

Shares in Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.30% or 0.61 to 5.95.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.64% or 23.35 to $3,612.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.66% or 0.42 to hit $63.55 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.78% or 0.53 to trade at $67.07 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 98.36.
