Zhaikes isn't rude intentionally. He may be direct and blunt, but he doesn't use words with the intent to harm. Physical harm is more like his thing.

Uhm, Rhaski has to "scientifically analyse" the situation for Zhaikes to make him realise he is in love, which I find hilarious :')

Lara realises on her own in a matter of days and comes up with a couple of reasons "why this is not a good idea". (It is in fact not a good idea.)

Lara sees violence as a very last resort. She has once hurt Zhaikes by accident and felt very bad about it, even though they were on bad terms at that point.

Zhaikes could kill a person and never think of it again.

My sci-fi world is the setting of my book and basically an extension of the real world. So, yes, Earth and humans exist, but my alien species and most of my OCs live in galaxies far away from us.

Lara is from Earth though. She was abducted in 2016. It's when the book starts.

He hates the nightmares, obviously, and wouldn't mention them to anyone.

Zhaikes doesn't want to talk about "The Attack 203" (the assassination of this father and the day he nearly died). That's when he lost sight in his right eye and suffered other permanent injuries.

Lara loves travelling, but (involuntarily) travelling to another galaxy was a tad too far, haha. She tries hard to get home and even strikes a deal with the devi- ahem Zhaikes in hopes to get there.

Zhaikes on the other hand lives on his spaceship. His home goes wherever he goes.
