cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020... this was the offering for last week’s #FridayCookieChat & it was very good. I think next time I’d make it in a bigger springform so the layers are just a bit thinner & for some reason my chocolate didn’t look smooth, though it’s mouthfeel was. #BakeSky 🍪🍫🥜

For last week’s #FridayCookieChat I decided to pseudo channel our partial irishness & made potato shaped candies, recipe from Martha Stewart.
For this past #FridayCookieChat I made Swedish Visiting Cake Bars because I actually had people of Swedish descent visiting. It was a really easy & tasty recipe to make.
This week’s #FridayCookieChat cookie is a chocolate cookie with peanut butter chips. The recipe comes straight from the back of the chips bag & got a 👍🏼 from everyone. #Reeses #Cookies 🍪 #BakeSky #FoodSky #CookSky
Today’s #FridayCookieChat is peanut blossoms because Valentine’s Day & kisses. I ran out of them though so we’re going to see how they are with m&m’s, which is what I had on hand. #BakeSky #FoodSky #CookSky 🍪😘❤️
This week’s #FridayCookieChat was not cookies. It was the anniversary of Michigan’s statehood on Monday so I wanted to do something related but I couldn’t think of any cookies from there. So instead I made Bumpy Cake.
This #FridayCookieChat continued my exploration of cornflake cookies with a trip to New Zealand for their Afghan Cookies.
I already had recipes from Iceland & Umbria thanks to @saveur.com & for this week’s #FridayCookieChat I decided to try Honey Joys from Australia. I was told they get a 5⭐️ rating & I should make them again. I’ve got many more #CornFlakes recipes to try.#BakeSky #CearealTreats
I think I’ll make it a tradition to make Peppermint Brownie Cookies for the first #FridayCookieChat back from winter break. They’re really good & I use up the leftover candy canes after taking down the 🎄. Recipe is from @nytcooking.bsky.social #BakeSky #CookieSky 🍪
It doesn’t make for a very interesting picture but the next #FridayCookieChat cookies I made were Reese’s peanut butter chip & chocolate chip cookies. This was a back of the package recipe I clipped long ago & it doesn’t seem to be on their website but they were good. #BakeSky 🍪🥜🍫 #Cookies
15 M & M cookies on a cooling rack
These are M & M cookies, recipe from the M $ M’s website, that I made for our #FridayCookieChat they are always a hit. #BakeSky 🍪
Next up for our #FridayCookieChat I made fluffernutter cookie sandwiches from someone’s old blog post that I saved years ago. These got the 🦭 of approval. Basically just big peanut butter cookies, sandwiching fluff & then partially dipped in ganache. I froze some to see how they turn out. #BakeSky 🍪
Continuing with #FridayCookieChat offerings, I made fruit cookie pizza. Years ago I found a #wilton giant cookie pan on clearance & it works great. I use the cookie recipe that came with it & my sister’s recipe for the filling since this is her usual dish to pass & I ❤️ family connection. #BakeSky
For our next #FridayCookieChat I made earthquake cookies from the #Soframiz cookbook by Ana Sortun & Maura Kilpatrick. They’re one of the most popular treats at #Sofra because they’re really good. I’m glad I finally tried making them at home. #BakeSky 🍪🍫
A couple of years ago I read someone’s post (insta I think) about how they have a tradition on to do a #FridayCookieChat with their kids because the answer to the question of “How was school today?” Always gets a “fine” or “boring” etc.
I’ve been feeling a little bit of decision fatigue with making everyone happy for #FridayCookieChat since one doesn’t like nuts & the other doesn’t like coconut or mint. Plus deciding if I should try something new or make a recipe I’ve already done.
Giant peanut butter cookies for #FridayCookieChat 🍪 from Midwest Made by Shauna Sever. One of my favorite cookbooks. Of course, they were complained about because I used chunky peanut butter, the little peanut pieces were picked out but otherwise it was deemed good. I liked them.
A picture of approximately a dozen square potato chip chocolate chip cookies
I made potato chip chocolate chip shortbread cookies from Shauna Sever’s Midwest Made cookbook for our #FridayCookieChat & they are very addicting. This is easily one of my top 5 cookbooks.
I’m not sure if this is where I first read about it but this is the gist of the #FridayCookieChat that we do. Everyday it’s “how was school?” “Fine” “what did you do?” “Nothing” so we do cookies 🍪 (or whatever) & chat. I printed out some questions & put them in a jar. 🫙
I made Joe Froggers for our #FridayCookieChat this week. They didn’t end up being too child friendly because our molasses is too strong. 🤷♀️

I made these today for #FridayCookieChat & they were really good. I think it might be the first Nigella recipe that I’ve ever made, not that she invented monster cookies.
