Amazon To Close Down Fresh Grocery Stores After years of experimenting with its branded brick-and-mortar grocery concepts, Amazon is pulling the plug on Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go physical stores.

After 4 1/2 years just across the Maryland border in Chevy Chase/Friendship Heights, the Amazon Fresh store there is closing for good.

All Amazon Fresh stores are being closed nationwide, with this Sunday, February 1, announced as the closing date.
