of a Claire Takes Frank’s Ring off fic. 🤷🏻♀️ Do I still have the last chapter if Not Time’s Fool to finish editing? Yes, yes I do. Apparently I contain multitudes of #FuckFrank feelings.

There are holes everywhere with Frank & his knowledge timeline. I am such a #TeamIcyRoad member and I've always chalked it up to DG trying to retcon #FuckFrank without doing her own due diligence of research from her own damn books. 🙄
I also have a multi chapter WIP, Not Time’s Fool that’s almost done, too (posting updates weekly). Adso will only appear in the epilogue though—it’s a #FuckFrank AU where Bree and Clare go back earlier and Team Fraser has some adventures not immediately conducive to cat ownership.

Wishes and Horses Da is finally getting his chance to teach Mandy to ride. When she first came here, she thought of riding and shooting as things Daddy gave her. But now she has seen Da teach her children with his easy smile and gentle hands. In Boston, when she showed Jem old photos, he said, persistent, “That’s you, but Grannie looks wrong.” Mama comes out of the surgery to watch the lesson, and calls out, joyful, “How’s our best little rider?” Brianna’s chest aches, suddenly, realizing she could have heard that too. That whatever Daddy gave her, he took so much away.
It’s not Wednesday, but @cassperthewitch.bsky.social suggested Bree POV in a #FuckFrank mode as a follow up to yesterday’s Claire POV, and I got inspired.
Oh I loved it☺️..! I mean there were a few moments where I felt bad for Frank honestly in the beginning, considering him to be a human with flaws. But as the seasons progressed, I totally lost it and am now happily a member of the #FuckFrank club🙌🏼
That ring has been like an unreachable itch for me😵💫
Wednesday 100: Love and Honor. Set the morning after episode 8×02 Jamie's left the damned book on the nightstand-Jem surprised him, came to see him early. Claire looks away from it, stares at her hands. She thinks of Paris. Of asking Jamie not to hurt Frank, of all that promise cost. She kept Frank's ring to honor the promises he made Brianna. But Frank kept Jamie from Bree as well. Claire wonders if her daughter sees much to honor in that. Jamie swore her rings would never leave her hands again. His conscience will be clear if she's the one to take Frank's off. Hers will be too.
For #Wednesday100, I got into a #FuckFrank place since the only thing 8x02 was missing was Claire getting serious about taking his ring off.

PS ... one tiny complaint about the season - not this ep particularly, but in general - I literally give zero shits about the William /Amarantha / Ben storyline. I would SO much rather have more Jamie & Claire moments (sans #FuckFrank, of course!)

Jamie v Cunningham - Jamie KNOWS he's mortal & that fear (above) is causing so much anxiety b/c of his fear of not being there to protect...
10/ It's also the closest she ever comes to being critical of Frank to Jamie whilst I'm screaming in my chair, "Tell him, Claire! #FuckFrank was a cheating selfish bastard!" They’re putting a lot of faith in Lodge. Jamie equating HIS love for Claire to #FuckFrank's is way way way too generous.

I was even thinking #FuckFrank during Jamie’s lovely scene with Ian about parenting and how he always wanted more time with his kids—he’s raising Fanny now and he was ready to raise Bonnie if Claire had wanted that. Compare that to how Frank uses Bree as a bargaining chip with Claire. 🤬
#FuckFrank is a pretty shit human. Cheats, lies, and makes the most selfish choices 90% of the time. He even gripes about Bree being friends w/Joe's son in the books - so add racist to that list. Jamie makes him look bad in each and every comparison. #BurningVSavingClairesClothes

I have the same feelings of #FuckFrank: torn between relief he didn’t dedicate the damn book to “my daughter” and general rage at his existence and that he only got to call Bree Deadeye because Jamie never got to teach her to shoot.
