Landscape format. Taken above and behind a couple sitting by the River Thames, watching it pass. The lower part of the image shows metal fencing with, just above, the shoulders, heads and umbrellas of two people watching the river go by. Above the umbrellas, the river itself and its far bank. The two people are sitting at a small viewing platform between a (now demolished) cement factory and Kimberley Clark depot and factory, where Andrex is made. It is a fairly dreary spot, used by anglers and drinkers and photographers - Tilbury Docks is across the river and there are great views of shipping and boats going up and down the river.
