Finished my 4th night shift in a row this morning. Delayed my journey home by half an hour in order to be able to drive past the @bma.org.uk picket and give resident doctors a honk of solidarity. Our medical colleagues need #FullPayRestoration and for their work and responsibility to be recognised.

Note comparison isn't just with other sectors, but other countries (eg compare work conditions & salary in the UK & Ireland)

Does equal pay for equal value, resonate with people?
This doesn't mean lowering the pay of the lowest paid. So in that case, the lowest paid shouldn't be paid less than what they are worth.
It's just logically consistent to restore pay.

More & more folk not signing up for courses such as ALS as they cannot afford it. Some medical courses well over £500. Study leave budgets not covering sufficient. #FullPayRestoration might fix this. Exam cost also huge. To progress as a doctor costs £££
