The big ape is normally carefree, but put his friends, or worse, his Banana Hoard, in danger, and you'll have two huge fists to answer to! He's no stranger to fighting his way out, and with those boxing gloves that all but boost the power of his blows, he's a great fit for a captain. The Konga Slam attack causes him to slam the ground with both hands, creating a shockwave that launches nearby players away. And his Super Spike, Bongo Rhythm, has him play a sick tune on his favorite pair of bongos, both to power himself up and get the fans raring. Whoever's on the opposite side of the court better be ready for him to go bananas!
Cranky Kong Debut: Donkey Kong Country Attack: Scolding Stick Super Spike: The Glory Days Type: Defensive Speed: 3/10 Power: 5/10 Pass: 9/10 Spike: 8/10 Cranky Kong has had just as long of a history with Mario as his grandson. He caused a ruckus in New Donk City and kidnapped Pauline, pushing the plumber in red to rescue her. As he became older, he drifted away from the city lights and into the jungle. He's senile and has an incredibly short temper, but he'll help the other Kongs out in any way he can. He may seem frail, but he can definitely hold his own in the Spikers tournament. Scolding Stick has him sit on his rocking chair and smack whoever is in front of him with his cane. Just a reminder to always respect your elders! And he relives his days in his prime for his Super Spike, climbing up a girder and takes out a giant barrel, smashing the ball with it.

Super Spike: Tubular Tide Type: Defensive Speed: 2/10 Power: 4/10 Pass: 10/10 Spike: 2/10 A good friend of Donkey Kong's, who's best known for his love of surfing and those gnarly purple shades! While he doesn't adventure with his monkey friends often, he'll help by providing helpful services, like running a shop or letting them use his special barrel plane. Funky rides his surfboard into the volleyball field - unconventional mode of transportation it may be, it lets him get some wicked range to save balls, making him a master class in passing! His Hang Ten! technique has him strike a pose for the crowd, creating a splash of water that shoves nearby enemies away. And for Tubular Tide, his Super Spike, he rides the legendary "Banana Wave", which crashes into the ball for a powerful spike.
