Human once got the box of pears from Harry & David for Christmas and four of the 12 were in gold foil. She brought the box to the office kitchen for others to enjoy so we never did find out what kind of pears they were. 😂 #FurryTails #FurryReaders

We usually see Bosc and Asian pears at the grocery. Baskets of pears are also a popular Christmas gift in the US, but I don't know what kind of pears are used. Some of them come wrapped in gold foil...fancy pears! #FurryTails #FurryReaders

And when there are unusual fruits, it's often expensive so we're unwilling to take a risk. We were given a dragon fruit, which is another unusual fruit and a very good one. We actually made a cake & icing with it! #FurryTails #FurryReaders

We have canned lychee here. Fresh fruit is more limited in our groceries than in the US, and the US selection isn't always that great. We sometimes have fresh persimmons, but usually it's mainly apples, pears, oranges, grapes, strawberries and bananas. #FurryTails #FurryReaders

Girl had longan in Florida many years ago and really loved it. We have no idea how to find it here. She tried a lychee drink on a whim and realized that longans and lychee are related!! They taste very similar. #FurryTails #FurryReaders

That's the thing about fruit. Sometimes you get them perfectly ripe and they are fabulous, but it's hard to get that perfect point again. I totally understand people who have issues with consistency in fruit. #FurryTails #FurryReaders
