The Hot Wheels Project Speeder and the El Segundo Coupe armed up with the trophy from the Verney Group Blackskull Open. The hood mounted machine guns are sourced from Wargames Atlantic model kits, the Eisenkern Panzerjäger and the Cannon Fodder I

The Hot Wheels '32 Ford and Ford Model A Custom '31 are each armed with machine guns sourced from Les Grognards by Wargames Atlantic. Mesh and steel plating have been added by Rutherford armorers.

A pair of Formul8r and Fast Felion cars have had exotic energy weapon systems integrated. Mishkin Labs will initiate beta test trials shortly. These plasma weapons were sourced from Cannon Fodder I by Wargames Atlantic.

The Imperative Guard have requisitioned additional vehicles to be armed for deployment. Machine guns were source from Cannon Fodder I by Wargames Atlantic. The Highway Patrol group will use all resources necessary to maintain peace and profits.

Back from vacation and I spent the day as armorer for the #Gaslands Death Race Demo. Prepped a bunch of giveaway cars with armor and armament. Moved at a pretty good clip, as I planned out the builds whenever I was waiting on line, sitting in a plane or just chilling.

I've been obsessed with #Gaslands for over a year now. These are my most recent completed builds. They are giveaway cars I make for a demo game I run at my local monthly #diecast meet.

I got REALLY into Gasalands when I was working at Arkenforge - I still wanna play more often, and kept a bunch of parts to build more cars.

#Gaslands Maxxine teams have always been a challenge for me. For my Live team, I chose animal-cars that are from a popular children's program...which also features death races. For the Open (aka demo games), I don't know why it took me this long to realize that there are food-themed #diecast.

#gaslands First few cars done for this one and a game called Junk'd, a really simple car game(way simpler than Car Wars.)

WIP #Gaslands vehicles. The first two are paramilitary trucks with turrets. The second pair are tankers using empty paint dropper bottles. I'll mount improvised sludge throwers on them. The dune buggy has bread clip armor and the Baja Bone Shaker has armor made from a cheap Halloween skeleton.

The Matchbox MB1340 1940 Dodge V-Series Truck (2025) and the Hot Wheels '52 Chevy Truck (2024) aren't a great visual match for Mater, I might have to consider some of my other pick-up trucks

Sally Carrera is based on a Porsche 911, the Hot Wheels P-911 is a 1988 Color Racer and the Matchbox MB173 Porsche 959 is also a 1988 color changer, I'm not sure that I want to give either one away.

Lightning McQueen is based on a Corvette C6 with stock car styling. The Hot Wheels 2005 Corvette C6 (2012) and the Matchbox MB295 '97 Chevy Corvette Coupe are close enough. I think the Matchbox has the edge here, though.

Making "Cars" as giveaway cars for the next #Gaslands demo. I've selected both Hot Wheels and Matchbox options, not sure which one to use. The Hot Wheels look more faithful to the "Cars", but are castings I want to keep. The Matchbox ones have weird scale issues, but I don't mind giving them away.

I knew I would commandeer these cyberpunk drone cars when I worried that someone would pick them as their prize car for the #Gaslands demo.

When no one did, I knew they would become mine. I'm replacing them when a pair of Formul8rs and a pair of Fast Felions. Going to paint them like Automan's car.

Still not #minipainting. Why is building #Gaslands so damn fun?

Finished the Conestoga #CarWars model for the Warden group. I have seen several Warden vehicles in prison jumpsuit orange, but have never done it myself. I prefer keeping the original color of the car for my Warden teams in #Gaslands. This was an opportunity to give it a try. I kinda like it.

You deserve a break today! Well, tomorrow anyway. Because today's #diecast is the final batch of #McDonald's #HotWheels. This group of dragsters and open wheel racers, surprisingly, all have metal bodies, even the super-long one.

I want to use these for #Gaslands as #Ork vehicles.

Finished these three #CarWars models using color schemes that I used for #Gaslands Death Race Demo.

Brimstone is done in the "Buzzard" look of the Slime group. Typhoon is done in sleek silver like the hypercars of Idris. And Apollo is in black and white sporting the winged skull of Highway Patrol.

Oh, these are super helpful! I've been wanting to use graffiti on my larger #Gaslands vehicles. My freehand sucks, but it'll suck slightly less if I use these.

Painting #CarWars models is a great transition from #Gaslands to #minipainting for me. It's a bridge for me to reset my painting approach. Using the same color schemes I developed for the giveaway cars in the demo game is an effective shortcut, too.

Street Shocker (1994) is a supercar with an exposed engine and large side pipes. It has a seafoam green plastic body and unpainted metal base. It has gray windows and a black engine.

Blue Bandit (1995) is a futuristic sports car in blue plastic and unpainted metal base. It has black windows and dark gray wheels.

The '57 Chevy (1995) has a metal body in lime green with a black outline alligator on sides and on roof, gray plastic motor and base.

Today's #diecast are Hot Wheels made for McDonald's Happy Meals. I don't mean to collect them, but they are pretty common when buying random lots. I don't use them for #Gaslands, but they are cool little cars. Most are metal bodies and plastic bases, with a all plastic. Details in alt-text.

Max Steel and Hoto Roto are two of my favorite castings for #Gaslands. I don't have a Rodger Dodger 2.0, but it feels very cyberpunk to me

Also unpacked a few Hotwheels I picked up for #Gaslands. The Batman Tumbler is for my Batcollection though. My Batcave was missing one.

Took a commission from my daughter to make a gift car for her friend. They were given a Miata by their parents. I asked my daughter if she wanted me to make a custom using their favorite colors.

I used the Hot Wheels Mazda Miata MX-5 (2026 HW Dream Garage) to make my first non- #Gaslands custom.

Friends and #nerdlings, I need some inspo. I have a great friend from #CoH and I want to build a couple of #diecast cars for two of his main superheroes.

Only, less #Gaslands and more #wackyracers.

I'm just stuck for ideas. I just can't get a feel for how these builds should look.
