Spoiled?

Martin looking really stupid.

Harris looking really stupid.

Both incompetent.

FF FG members need answers.

'Lesson will be learned' or 'Sorry', won't cut it this time.

Beginning of the end of Ireland's old order.

GE2025: Trump fears, unrivalled ‘ground game’ hand PAP the mandate it wanted Singaporeans opted for the familiar party they felt they could repose their trust in. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.

'Such has been the torrent of chaotic headlines emanating from Washington that, like their Canadian and Australian counterparts, Singaporeans opted for the familiar party they felt they could repose their trust in,' writes @jbhavan.bsky.social #GE25 www.straitstimes.com/singapore/po...

Aaaaand that’s it for the elections. The PAP, once again, with only ~65% of the vote share has got 89% of the seats. I find this absurd and unacceptable, but such is the way elections are done here. #GE25

but this is a democracy and the voters have decided. Everyone put up a good fight, and even if I think some of the candidates are clowns, they still have stepped up to challenge the incumbent.

#GE25 1/2 As expected, the PAP has gotten a supermajority once again. I think overall the PAP has gained some ground in terms of vote share looking at the current numbers. Can’t say I’m not disappointed -

CSJ barely lost Sembawang West SMC. Good fight Dr Chee! Perhaps we will see you in Parliament as an NCMP. Your voice, and the voice of the people, will be heard.

Slight rephrase: it’s unfortunate that someone who prioritises her own business (a law firm) instead of working full-time for the constituency got elected into Parliament.

Hope she does good for the residents of Mountbatten.

Bitcoin guy did better than I would’ve thought. It’s unfortunate that someone who prioritises her personal interests above those of her constituents should have no place in Parliament, but here we are. Disappointing, but not unexpected.

Aww damn NCM got elected. Fuck! Well played, Andre Low. You’ll get it the next time, keep up the good work.

lol thank GOD voters in Tampines have resoundingly rejected PPP and NSP. The WP is on the cusp of securing Tampines GRC. Let’s hope they secure it!

HOUGANG STRONG. WP STRONG.

#GE25

Though from observation the PAP likely has a stronger mandate due to higher vote share compared to the last election in 2020.

Andre is behind by 2%, which I feverently hope that he gets because NCM does not deserve to be in Parliament.

LETS GO ANDRE. GET THAT JALAN KAYU SMC.

It’s a time of reckoning for the PSP - with their heavyweights contesting there and still resulting in a relatively poor showing, it might be possible that the PSP may no longer have any presence in the Parliament, which is a damn shame.

#GE25

PSP’s sample showing in WC-JW GRC is a little disappointing, I hope that they’re able to make ground. But with the radical redrawing of boundary lines, who knows.

Sengkang GRC is a little closer than I hoped it would be, but still a 6% lead over the PAP.

The PAR holding on to their deposit in Tanjong Pagar is surprising, I was expecting them to lose their deposits.

For now, it looks like at least 12-15 people may lose their 13.5k election deposit.

Punggol GRC’s sample count is a little wide but hopefully the WP can close the gap further. 46% is within striking distance! Voters of Punggol, please do not disappoint!

As expected, Aljunied GRC is solidly in the WP’s hands. Tampines-Changkat is doing well as well, respectable showing.

The juiciest constituencies are still not out yet, but would be interesting to see.

Sample count for Sembawang West SMC is 53:47 to the PAP, pretty good numbers and I’m hopeful for Dr Chee to win.

Independent candidate in Mountbatten has a very respectable 38% of the votes.

What a rousing rally from the Worker’s Party! I have fond memories of attending their rallies in person, and their fiery passion has not changed one bit since I first voted in 2011.

Shall go look for summaries of the other rallies when the news agencies decide to publish them. #GE25

Ok, enough brain rot. Time to watch a *real* opposition party. With real passion. Real talking points.

WORKER’S PARTY!

Hopefully I can attend one of their rallies.

So I’m watching a PPP candidate, talking about the ozone layer and how he cares for the environment - then rants about a carbon tax leading to the increase of cost of living.

So.. what does the PPP propose? #GE25

Of course the ruling party doesn’t want to lose seats, so they’ll shuffle people around to best suit their goals, but this feels like a bit of a betrayal in the sense that people get to know someone then suddenly they don’t represent them anymore. #GE25
