At a meeting with @thegef.bsky.social leadership in Bonn this week, we agreed on the critical importance of securing an ambitious and strong 9th replenishment of the GEF Trust Fund #GEF9 at a time when a surge of global action is needed to implement the #KMGBF and other universally agreed goals.

70th GEF Council Meeting Country representatives will meet virtually as the 70th Global Environment Facility Council during the week of December 15-19, 2025.

Exec Sec Monika Stankiewicz participated in the MEAs Executive Secretaries session of #GEFCouncil70, where she underscored the #GEF9 key role in supporting countries to meet their #MinamataConvention obligations & advance its 2030 targets.
