John Brown posts: This morning a sickening investigative report was published in Ha'aretz, detailing that soldiers receive orders to shoot starving Gazans, and they do so without question. With tanks, drones, artillery and precision rifle fire. Over 500 innocents were murdered thus only this month. In terms of the facts there's not much new here, only this time it comes from the mouths of soldiers & officers. In the evening Netanyahu and Katz released statements denying this and blaming Ha'aretz of shameful lies. So do most Israelis believe, based on no facts at all. Between the journalists of Ha'aretz & Netanyahu, it's pretty obvious who is more credible, and the officers and soldiers interviewed have no incentive to lie. Moreover this fits the facts. It also fits the personalities in the field. For example Yehuda Vach, a settler graduate of Eli Military Preperatory Yeshiva, who directs just such acts and who's ideology is long well known. But I have a suggestion to settle this dispute. Allow foreign press entry to the distribution centers and to document what is done there. Why are journalists barred from covering what is being done in Gaza? If indeed these are shameful fictions, documentation will clear the IDF of these mass murders. This should be in Israel's interests, no? If everything's good, what's the problem? Or maybe it isn't.
