We rolled some characters and the 70s-80s cartoons vibes are tons of fun, I rolled a WIZARD, here is BINX, everything randomly generated, from the shape of her ears to her wearing a thong. I love the goobers that the game create.

Speaking of digital drawing. Here's a #GOZR sketch I did last night. It's obviously very rough. I'm posting it as another example of how sketching doesn't have to be "good". Sketching is the sandbox of creativity for a visual artist. It don't got to be quality.

That time Adam West talked Yvonne Craig into playing a #GOZR campaign while filming #Batman. Fun fact: It was prompting from Craig that made me get back to work on some revisions and expansions for the game. She really loved it after she learned she could have 3 arms and a pet skunk (pg 4 and 39).

Blogging a bit this morning about #GOZR. I haven't been thinking about the game in a while but it suddenly loomed large in my brain and I wanted to talk about some of the mechanics and why I chose to do it this way.
Character sheet for GOZR. CUN is Cunning MAG is Magic PRO is Prowess GOOZ are luck points HP is hit points, duh DEF is defense WIZ is wizard points

Buddy: Yeah, it goes gunz an' magic. Sword Gooz: S-sorry... I just don't like mixing genres! Buddy: Damn. He said it. Gunner: Buddy... You couldda went all day an' not said that shit.
I like #TTRPGs with simple systems and a lot of tables and lists of stuff. I like stuff lists. Idea generators.
That's why I do games like #GOZR. Sci-fantasy. Robots, wizards, and ruins. I had a hell of a lot of fun making this stupid game. I really hope I can return to it some day and do another.

Nice. In #GOZR, you roll some dice for Threat and on 1-2, a Threat happens. Could be that the monster attacks again, or heals, or whatever.
Claytonian has suggested wrapping that up into the initiative roll. I dig it. It means the GM makes one less roll and that is the lord's work right there.

#TTRPG Death is fun in some games, but not necessary in all games. Even high risk adventure games. In #GOZR, you can choose if your PC dies or not. If you don't die, you are debased. You lose something, you are weakened. A fate worst than death for some gamers! I'm keeping this rule for #Doomslakers

#GOZR session 2 was run entirely off the cuff. Asked the PCs what their needs were and mention that beer is brine and gooz are missing. They went after the beer and ended up raiding a theives' stache on the way. I just kept rolling as we went along, seeing what things came up. Bookmarklet helped too
