The sweetness, patience, understanding, flirting, and banter are magnificent. Add in the chemistry, and I'm in love. -- Book quote 'Pulling open the top drawer, I grabbed a well-worn red Falcons tee and handed it to her. Sure, I had other shirts. But giving her this felt like a taste of retribution against that dick Morrison.' -- Chase Carter I love how protective he becomes, something that even her brother doesn't do well. And while she isn't the best at standing up for herself initially, I like that her confidence grows as she spends more time with Chase. As for their friends, their true friends, not the fairweather ones, they add another wonderful dimension to the book. It was great getting to know them on the journey. This does run a little longer than necessary. Still, other than shortening some of the game play and maybe dropping a subplot or two, I definitely like this book and will be keeping an eye out for more audio in the series. I borrowed the audio book. The narrators, Gabriel Spires and Stella Bloom, are terrific. I do wish this was duet, but it's still a damn good listen. 🎧❤️🎧 Story: 4.5 stars Narration: 4.5 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H & h = 21
