G-Shock was never just a watch. It was rugged engineering, anti-fragile design, and power-user philosophy on the wrist.

1/2 @ruari @ruari I asked because I am trying not to add stuff in my life that needs apps. I hope that in a couple of years Linux mainline on mobile (postmarket and stuff) has gotten so good that I can daily drive it.
Looks cool doh. And I learned a lot from your thread. I have seen tapster […]
This weekend I create a little something: pace2fit.eu a website (+CLI tool) to help create running workout in .FIT format (garmin, etc) without rely on proprietary apps. Source code hosted on Codeberg and under GNU GPLv3 : codeberg.org/Solal/pace2fit
Feedback welcome :)

I recently got an Amazfit Helio Strap, and it's a thoroughly "Meh" tool.
It's relatively cheap, unnecessarily complicated to pair with @gadgetbridge (not GB's fault), lasts a week on a charge, has no screen, the measurements feels accurate enough, came assembled the wrong way around and I'll […]
Got #Gadgetbridge working with my smart watch. I love that the thing has been cut off from its masters and now just funnels telemetry to files in my phone ❤️
for anyone wondering this write up shows the status of current #smartwatch and other wearables that work or partially work with #gadgetbridge

For those that want to know, i bought a #Garmin Instinct 2 and it works with #Gadgetbridge perfectly. Most Smart Watches are subsidised by sending huge amounts of data to their overlords in exchange for a cheap device. Gadgetbridge is […]

Wearing an Amazfit GTR 4 with #Gadgetbridge for quite a while now and am happy. My biggest issue atm is, since some updates ago (or even some more) i'm not able to shut of the permanent screenlock. It's annoying me. F.e. I'm not to be able to just switch off the […]

Just recently I've found out about Gadgetbridge and it's super cool!
I'm writing this post as I haven't seen this project mentioned around a lot, but if you have an Android wearable device and you mind your privacy and/or like FOSS projects, give Gadgetbridge a shot. It's a free and open source […]
Hello #GadgetBridge friends - I'm trying to filter my notifications and having a tough time.

Any help appreciated!

An update on this ultra-cheap USB-C SmartWatch.
I've been wearing it for about 10 days and it still has 20% battery left 🤩
I'm using it for exercise, step counting, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and some notifications. I'm not using it for calls […]

The #GadgetBridge team are fantastic. I had a notification issue that took me months to work out what was happening and how to reproduce it 100% of the time. I thought I was going to have to work out the fix but one of them fixed it within hours of raising the issue!

Nice! Even without modification, #GadgetBridge can read this sub-£20 smartwatch's data.
Gets sleep, steps, and heart rate without issue. Seems pretty accurate - picked up my exercising just now.
Few missing bits like notifications (which I'll try to diagnose […]

Holy shit! It worked 😁
I used #GadgetBridge nightly, I turned on the debug stuff, and added the unsupported P80 as the V89.
And it looks like most of the stuff works. I can track battery, change watch face, measure heart rate, see steps etc!
The journey of a thousand miles starts with opening an issue.

If you've ever set up a new device on #GadgetBridge - I'll take any and all advice 😃
Smart watch on my wrist with a USB-C cable plugged in to it.
Today's task - try to connect this to #GadgetBridge.
It is a Colmi rebranded MoYoung so I think it should work, but I need to figure out how.
If you've added a new device to @gadgetbridge before, give me a shout 😃
question about fitness trackers / smart watches using #gadgetbridge
are there any supported by gadgetbridge that you can disable any config change actions (or any action, set it to ignore the touch screen?) so they just function as watches.. with all the "smarts" (fitness tracking stuff) […]

Kennt jemand eine gute #Smartwatch, möglichst mit direktem #USBC Port und kompatibel mit #Gadgetbridge?
A cheap Bluetooth smart health ring. It is silver on the outside with a clear resin inner diameter. Electronics and sensors are visible through the resin.
Got a cheap #BLE smart ring on Temu. We really do live in the future, this is some SciFi level stuff.
Just need to figure out how to snoop the comms from its app—to see if I can add it to #gadgetbridge (and maybe get more frequent readings).
