A friend of mine had a #GameShark it seemed crazy to me throw a cheat hardware in between proprietary game hardware and its proprietary cartridges, but it was cool what it could do. I recall it turning Blood back on for Mortal Combat.

I spent hours with my #GameShark - messing around with codes in the original #PokemonRed version on #Gameboy

But the Missingno glitch definitely stands out to me as a favourite / memorable glitch

I really miss using cheats in games via entering codes or using cheat discs. But now these days it’s not allowed or you have to finish the game to unlock stuff, it really sucks the fun out of lack of cheats with newer games.

If anyone has more information, this is a 1.0 cart and I have some sort of "beta" code enabled with the standard L to levitate / infinite health stuff. Pressing R will trigger a cutscene and I can pop out of it and walk around if I load it correctly. It's all very strange... #n64 #gameshark
